What does MJN provide versus what does the agent handle?
MJN provides the freight broker authority (MC#375676), a proprietary TMS, DAT and Truckstop.com load board access, carrier packet processing, insurance certificates, credit checks, and freight billing. The agent provides the shipper relationships and books the loads. Agents keep the majority of commissions. MJN absorbs the overhead.
How are commissions paid?
Commissions pay weekly by direct deposit on picked-up loads. When the carrier picks up the freight and the load is confirmed, commission is processed and paid the following weekly cycle.
Do I need my own MC number or freight broker authority to work as an MJN agent?
No. Agents operate under MJN's existing FMCSA freight broker authority (MC#375676). You do not need to obtain your own MC number or maintain your own bond. MJN's authority and insurance cover the agency relationship.
