What does MJN provide versus what does the agent handle?
MJN provides the freight broker authority (MC#375676), a proprietary TMS, DAT and Truckstop.com load board access, carrier packet processing, insurance certificates, credit checks, and freight billing. The agent provides the shipper relationships and books the loads. Agents keep the majority of commissions. MJN absorbs the overhead.
How are commissions paid?
Commissions pay weekly by direct deposit on picked-up loads. When the carrier picks up the freight and the load is confirmed in MJN's TMS, the commission is processed and paid in the following weekly cycle. No holdback on earned commissions once your escrow account is established.
Do I need my own MC number or freight broker authority to work as an MJN agent?
No. Agents operate under MJN's existing FMCSA freight broker authority (MC#375676). You do not need to obtain your own MC number, maintain your own broker bond, or carry your own E&O insurance for the agency relationship. MJN's authority covers booked loads. You bring the customer relationships, MJN handles the back office.
What technology does MJN provide to agents?
Agents get access to MJN's proprietary TMS for posting and tracking loads, plus DAT and Truckstop.com load board credentials. Carrier vetting, document storage, invoicing, and rate confirmations run through the same system.
