How do I get set up as a carrier with MJN?
Submit your MC number online or call 801-705-9030. MJN verifies your FMCSA authority, insurance certificate, and safety rating in real time. Carriers with complete documentation can start receiving loads within 24-48 hours. The carrier packet is short, there is no application fee, and your MJN representative handles the back-and-forth so you can keep your trucks moving.
What are MJN's payment terms?
Standard carrier pay is 21 days from invoice acceptance, the freight industry baseline. Carriers who opt into factoring can submit their invoice by 1:00 PM MST and MJN issues the ACH payment the same day, with advance rates up to 95%. Rates start at 1.5% and the first 30 days are free. Factoring is optional, not required to haul MJN loads.
Does carrying loads for MJN require using MJN factoring?
No, the two services are separate. You can haul MJN loads on the standard 21-day pay schedule and never pay a factoring fee. Factoring is an optional same-day-pay upgrade you can turn on load by load, on invoices with MJN pre-approved shippers, whenever cash flow matters most for that haul.
Does MJN require a long-term contract?
No long-term contract is required for hauling loads with MJN. If you opt into factoring, the initial factoring agreement is 90 days, cancellable any time inside that window without penalty. After 90 days, a 30 days written notice ends the factoring relationship. The brokerage relationship continues for as long as you want loads.
Is there a cost to work with MJN as a carrier?
No cost to haul loads. Carriers are paid at the rate agreed on each load confirmation, on 21-day standard terms, with no setup fee, no annual fee, and no monthly minimum. If you choose factoring as an upgrade, a fee starting at 1.5% applies, with the first 30 days free.
